MAGGIE HEMPHILL : PROFILE OF A DOG LOVER

Which came first - her love of fashion or dogs. I caught up with Fashionista Prep's Teen Ambassador, Junior Reporter for The Daily's, and creator of MAGGIE-ZINE to dish dog.

Maggie just graduated 8th grade, but her passion for fashion was created at a young age and developed with the support of Fern Mallis has attended more top designer Tent shows than a junior editor at VOGUE. Maggie has been interviewed and held interviews with some our favorite labels: Michael Kors, Milly, Yigal Azrouel, Project Runway, Fashion for Relief to raise money for Haiti,Tory Burch and countless others...

Just as Maggie jumped in feet first to fashion, she is a huge dog lover. Her muse and co-collaborator on MAGGIE-zine is her canine - MR NIGEL BARKER... Here are some fun answers to my fashion Q&A and her answers warm my canine curator heart!

Maggie only feeds MR. NIGEL BARKER organic food and dog treats and shared that his best friend is her cousin's dog Brady. The two keep fit with the help of Maggie's cousin former Syracuse basketball player, Gerry McNamara.

CC: Please Share some basic facts about your NIGEL BARKER:
MH: Age: 9 months
MH: Breed: Cavapoo (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Poodle)
MH: Personality: VERY excited!
MH: Favorite activities are going to the dog park to see his friends, playing catch and working on MAGGIE-zine
MH: Favorite Pet store is Petsmart!

CC: Do you dress him up or let him go au natural with his fashion choices?

MH: Au Natural, except for an occasional bow tie.

CC: How has your passion for fashion influenced or been enhanced by NIGEL BARKER?

MH: I got the idea for MR. NIGEL BARKER's name after years of watching America's Next Top Model. Also, when I was asked to describe him, I said he looked like a toasted marshmallow -- definitely in style!

CC: Your mother told me he sits in your lap while you put together your editorial picks. Does he have a title role in Maggie-zine?

MH: He is officially Maggie-zine's muse!

CC: Has Fern Mallis ever invited him to the Tents during Fashion Week to get his FUR FASHION FIX?

MH: No, I think she is more a cat person!

CC: This was confirmed when Fern's dear friend Lisa recently showed me pictures of Fern's amazing cat!

Does he know other designer dogs like Lela Rose's stitch?

MH: No, but he hopes to meet Brad Goreski's (Rachel Zoe) dog Jaspar!

CC: If NIGEL BARKER could talk what would he say?>

MH: I'm not really sure but I know it would be with a British Accent.
